Sheedy received the Independent Spirit Award, Best Female Actor, for her performance as Lisa Cholodenko in High Art. Sheedy was married to David Lansbury in April 1992. David Lansbury is the nephew and son-in law of Angela Lansbury. Edgar Lansbury was the director of Godspell. The couple has a son Beckett, born in 1994. Sheedy has learned from Beckett's transgender transition. Alexandra Elizabeth Ally Sheedy (born June 13 1962) is an American stage and film actress in addition to the author of two books. She's most famous for her performance as Bratpack's The Breakfast Club. The Breakfast Club is the title of a John Hughes-directed film. The reason behind the film's title "The Breakfast Club" originates from a name certain schools use for detention.
